Registration
"I'm Karen Vereen, Registrar at Southeastern Technical College. I want to welcome you to the college and remind you to check the payment deadlines, withdrawal dates, and registration periods on our website frequently each term."
There are four opportunities for students to register for classes at Southeastern Technical College: Returning Student Registration, New Student Registration, Open Registration and Schedule Changes, and Late Registration.
• Returning Student Registration is a registration period open to currently enrolled students. Returning Student Registration occurs shortly after the midpoint of each term. In order to register, the student should make an appointment with their advisor. (Advisors should never be interrupted during class time to help with registration.) Returning students are encouraged to register during this time so that they can avoid paying late fees and/or missing classes that may be full if registration is done at a later date.
• New Student Registration is a registration period open for new students. All new students must complete orientation before they register for classes. In order to register, the student should make an appointment with their advisor. (Advisors should never be interrupted during class time to help with registration.) New students should bring their acceptance letter and PIN number and a printed copy of their e-mail confirming that they completed this online orientation to their appointment with their advisor.
• Open Registration and Schedule Changes is a one day registration available to all students to register and make changes as needed to their current schedule. This is the last day to register for classes without paying a late fee for the following term.
• Late Registration is the last time you can register before the next term's classes begin. This registration is generally held the day before the term begins. If you wait until late registration, you will be required to pay a $45 late registration fee. In addition, class availability is limited during late registration because many classes may already be full. You can check registration dates each term by going to the Southeastern Tech web site and clicking on the Calendar link.
Banner Online Registration
BANNER is the student information system at Southeastern Technical College. You will use Banner Web to register for classes, view your grades, check your financial aid status, obtain an unofficial transcript, and print an enrollment verification certificate. Banner Web is located on the Current Students menu of the Southeastern Technical College homepage. You will log into the secure area of Banner Web using your student ID number (located on your acceptance letter) as the login and your six-digit PIN number (This number was mailed to you two days after your acceptance letter.). All academic and business office holds will need to be cleared up for registration through Banner Web.
