Career Services
The Career Services Office at Southeastern Technical College is a unit of the Student Affairs Division. Our mission is to provide students and alumni with assistance in resume writing/critique, interview preparation, job search tips and referral opportunities. We offer access to job search systems such as e-Recruiting, which is an online tool that assist students with managing their career development and job seeking needs. The system allows job seekers to view local area job opportunities and post their resumes for employers to view. We also provide mock interviews for students which allow them to experience an official interview and what preparation is needed.
Federal Work Study Program
The Federal Work Study Program provides funds that are earned through part-time employment to assist students in financing the costs of their postsecondary education. Eligible participants must be Pell eligible through the Financial Aid Office, enrolled in at least 6 credit hours of course work, and maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher. Students who are selected to be in the program are allowed to work up to 20 hours per week at a rate of $7.25 per hour. Applications for the Federal Work Study Program can be picked up at the Career Services Office.
